Boycrush was founded in 2004 by Bryan Kenny, who had previously worked in the industry as a cameraman and webmaster. He was often told that he should start his own company and with the money he made from his previous projects he did just that. The company started out small with just a few of Bryan’s close friends but expanded as they acquired their first exclusive model and poster-boy, Angel Kelly. It was with the website’s burgeoning success that Bryan knew he’d started something big.
The company grew steadily and hired on Andy Kay in 2008 as Angel Kelly retired from the industry. In the next few years Boycrush would grow even more, starting Boycrushlive.com (a live cam-site); the Boycrush DVD store (boycrushstore.com); and Baretwinks.com, Boycrush’s no-condom sister site, which was quickly incorporated into the newly formed Boycrush network. All the while, Boycrush became known industry-wide as a company that treated its models right as well as making sure every employee is full-panel HIV/STD tested every month that they film. Those policies have continued on to the present and both Bryan and Andy hold them as two of the most important parts of the business.
Boycrush’s claim-to-fame, however, would come with the release of Twinkblood, an original full-length vampire movie that was nominated for five industry awards. This movie spawned several other parody movies such as Raw, A Nightmare on Twink Street, Baretwink Intentions, The Underwear Snatchers, and many more. Boycrush has also employed several of the twink industry’s hottest stars such as Felix Russo, Ashton Cody, Kyler Moss, and Ryan Sharp. In 2010, Boycrush teamed up with the minds behind Gaylifenetwork to create Phoenixxx Studios, a multi-genre porn site directed by Andy Kay. This site features popular models such as Shane Frost, Tyler Andrews, and Tristan Jaxx while also featuring some of the Boycrush twinks in new and different scenarios.
